TIP: Vaccines aren't covered at all network pharmacies. For this reason, it is important that you show your UMP ID card to the pharmacist to bill the vaccine before receiving a vaccine. Otherwise, it may not be covered.
TIP: Enrollees under age 12 can get vaccines at a network provider's office or through a public health department.
When your doctor's office doesn't have the vaccine you need, some pharmacies can provide a convenient alternative. Call the pharmacy ahead of time to make sure it has the vaccine you need.
Participating pharmacies in the chains listed below can provide vaccines to UMP enrollees age 12 and over:
Many independent pharmacies also provide vaccines. Call Washington State Rx Services at 1-888-361-1611 to ask if your local pharmacy does.
The plan also pays for vaccines received at local public health departments, but you usually have to pay up front and get reimbursed later. (You may need to submit a paper claim.)
Note: Vaccines for the purposes of travel or employment are not covered.
